Operation of Ailunce HD1 DMR Radio Three Scan Modes

There are three scan modes of HD1, namely TIME SCAN, CARRIER SCAN, SEARCH SCAN mode.

What is the difference between the three scan modes?How to set HD1 scan mode ? Let’s experiment together.

Operation of three scan modes of HD1

First, set the same contacts, time slots, color code and frequency for the two HD1 walkie-talkies.

Make sure both radios can be connected and start testing.

In this test, the frequency of the first HD1 is set to 15.660000.The frequency of the second HD1 is set to 15.680000 and 156.95000, then the test begins.

1 Test in FM mode

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to TO

Edit the side button or operate on the front panel (FPP: Front panel programmable function).

The frequency of the first radio is set to 156.60000, and the frequency of the second radio is set to 156.80000.

Press the scan button of the first radio ,the radio starts scan, flashes green light, and there is a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time, press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal.

When the frequency of the first radio is scan to 156.80000, the radio stops scan and receives the signal.After 5s, the radio scans again even the signal does not disappear.

Then change the frequency of the second radio to 156.95000,  press the PTT button.

At this time, the first radio scans to the frequency and stops again,receive the signal and continues scanning after 5s.

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to CO

The frequency of the first radio is set to 156.60000, the frequency of the second radio is set to 156.80000.

The first radio starts scan, flashes green light, there is also a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time,press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal.

When the frequency is scanned to 156.80000, the first radio stops scan and starts to receive signals until the second radio does not transmit signals.

After waiting for 5s, the first radio continues to scan.Then change the frequency of the second radio to 156.95000 .

When the frequency scans to 156.95000,the first radio stops scan again ,starts to receive signals and stays until the signal disappears ,then it continues scan after 5s.

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to SO

The frequency of the first radio is set to 156.60000, the frequency of the second radio is set to 156.80000.

The first radio starts scan, flashes green light, there is also a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time,press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal.

When the frequency scans to 156.80000, the first radio stops scan ,starts to receive signals and the frequency stays until the second radio does not transmit signals,and stop scan.

Then stop scan.

2 Test in DMR mode

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to TO

The frequency of the first radio is set to 156.60000, and the frequency of the second radio is set to 156.80000.

Press the scan button of the first radio ,the radio starts scan, flashes green light, and there is a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time, press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal. When the frequency of the first radio is scan to 156.80000, the radio stops scan and receives the signal.

After 5s, the scan starts again even the signal does not disappear.

Then change the frequency of the second radio to 156.95000, and press the PTT button. At this time, the first radio scans to the frequency and stops again,receive the signal and continues scanning after 5s.

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to CO

The frequency of the first radio is set to 156.60000, the frequency of the second radio is set to 156.80000.

The first radio starts scan, flashes green light, there is also a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time,press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal.

When the frequency is scanned to 156.80000, the first radio stops scan and starts to receive signals until the second radio does not transmit signals.

When the frequency scans to 156.95000,the first radio stops scan again ,starts to receive signals and stays until the signal disappears ,then it continues scan after 5s.

The first radio starts scan, flashes green light, there is also a voice prompt: scan begin.

At this time,press the PTT button of the second radio to transmit a signal.

When the frequency scans to 156.80000, the first radio stops scan ,starts to receive signals and the frequency stays until the second radio does not transmit signals,and stop scan.

3 Conclusion

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to TO

In this mode, after scanning the signal, the radio stops and accepts for 5 s, and then the scan is continues.

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to CO

In this mode, after scanning the signal,the radio stops scan and continues to receive the signal until the signal disappears, and  continues scan again after 5 s.

  • HD1 Scan mode is set to SO

In this mode, after scanning the signal, the radio stops scan and  receives the signal.Even the signal disappears,the radio will not continue scan and stops at this frequency .
